Freelance Instructor - Data Analysis & BI

About The Position

Elevation is looking for a German speaking Data Literacy & Data Analysis Trainer to teach at our courses and workshops for employees of international organisations. Our Data modules give the participants the skills they need to become more data driven, use data in their day to day and learn how to best visualize and use data storytelling for their purposes. The modules vary from teaching the fundamental understanding of what data is, its importance, through data-gathering, -wrangling, complex analysis, visualizations and use of Data tools.

Our trainings take place via Zoom. This is a part-time freelance position where the impact can be enormous, as the trainer will interact with the participants directly, passing on their knowledge and potentially changing their lives and impact business metrics.

To be successful in this role, you must have solid experience in data analysis/engineering/science, with experience and a passion for teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Study and implement Elevation’s learning philosophy and methodology
  • Work with the Program Manager to coordinate and deliver workshops, trainings and practical application sessions
  • Work with the Content Development team to improve existing content and create new learning material
  • Customize the trainings to the needs of the organisation and the level of the participants
  • Review student work and provide feedback based off detailed criteria

Requirements

  • At least 3 years working as a data analyst/product manager/BI developer/scientist
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in German and English
  • Experience in formal trainings, preferably in a corporate training context
  • Expertise in Excel (not VBA)
  • Can dedicate at least 10 hours per month for this position
  • Bonus:
  • Experience with Python and its relevant libraries (numpy, matplotlib, pandas, etc.)
  • Expertise in SQL
  • Expertise in Tableau/Power BI
  • Proficiency in statistics and probability (normal distribution, p-values, hypothesis testing, etc.)
