About The Position

Elevation is looking for a Career Development Specialist to help our students and alumni build a career they love. This role is one of the most rewarding in the company as you’ll take a crucial part in helping people change their lives through acquiring new skills. The Career Development Specialist manages the entire lifecycle of the career development, from understanding each student’s strengths, to help them build their CV and social profiles and matching them to relevant open positions. As a career development specialist, you will work as part of Elevation’s outcome team and will be performing a vital role in managing our “train to hire” programs and bootcamps. You will be responsible for, among others:


  • Achieving the program's main metric of placement rate over time
  • Develop a student's career from admissions to placement. Set the right expectations and work closely to achieve them along with the program
  • Train students and alumni on skills needed to perform an effective job search. You will lead group training as well as recurring one on one sessions.
  • Create new opportunities for alumni by matching them to our hiring partners or other open positions 
  • Provide ongoing support for alumni who are in the job-seeking process



  • At least 2 years of experience in recruiting or career counseling (Preferably in the tech industry). Account management or sales experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the tech industry (web development, data analytics) landscape; Awareness of tech job market and breadth of opportunities.
  • Data-driven and highly organized. Ability to manage large volumes of requests and organize systems to keep track of students at various stages. Analyze, report, and manage team data. 
  • Able to create and present job prep content. Comfortable with both one-on-one sessions and delivering to a large group.
  • Passionate about leading a change through tech & education. High emotional intelligence; able to empathize with others and can handle other people’s stress.
  • Able to give constructive, positive feedback to people of diverse professional and life backgrounds.
